Primary responsibilities:
Franchise Financial Close & Governance
- Own end-to-end monthly P&L close for Franchise business including turnover, expenses, royalty, discounts, and markdowns.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition, cut-off controls, GST treatment, and GL hygiene in line with internal policies.
- Drive timely submission of final numbers to Business and Leadership teams.
Performance Reporting & Analytics (MIP)
- Lead MIP reporting and performance analysis across Franchise.
- Deliver sales, margin, KPI, and store evolution insights with strong data validation and reconciliation.
- Ensure integrity of master data, tax logic, and alignment with final reported numbers.
Business Partnering & Decision Support
- Act as a finance business partner to Operations, Marketing, and Leadership teams.
- Lead monthly P&L reviews, projection discussions, KPI analysis, and variance explanations.
- Provide inputs for Board decks, PC/MBR, and leadership reviews.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Drive monthly forecasts and annual budgets for Franchise business.
- Partner cross-functionally to analyze cost drivers across operations, margin, markdowns, marketing, HR, and supply chain.
- Ensure timely submission and alignment with Global finance requirements.
Audit, Compliance & Controls
- Manage internal and external audits, including statutory, retail, and franchise audits.
- Own reconciliations for turnover, customer balances, discounts, accrued interest, and cut-off procedures.
- Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements.
Franchise Accounting & Settlements
- Oversee franchise fee accounting, interest amortization, incentives, claims, omni-channel commissions, and settlements.
- Ensure timely customer reconciliation, credit note closure, and recovery coordination.
- Manage store closure financials and final settlements (FnF).
Systems, Process Improvement & Data Management
- Support finance systems, reporting automation, and IT developments (MSD, DMS, Tableau, SAP).
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and continuous efficiency in reporting and controls.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of Retail / Franchise P&L and financial governance
- Financial analysis, planning, and reconciliation expertise
- Advanced Excel; working knowledge of Tableau / Power BI / SAP / MSD
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- High ownership, attention to detail, and compliance orientation
Educational Qualification
MBA (Finance)/CA or equivalent.
