Job Role:
Plan and supervise business activities for “STORE” towards achievement of “Estimated Sales” in line with company business plan, bearing in mind set policies, company image and interest
The incumbent will be responsible for managing P&L of the store
Job Responsibilities:
Store administration Excellence
a) Manage a Bata store within the policies and guidelines of the company to ensure customer satisfaction and turnover maximization
b) Total operational and financial responsibility for the assigned store
c) Provide overall leadership, recognize and motivate members of the team ; coach and train the team for operational excellence/passion to serve
Business performance review
a) Ensure maintenance of company Prosperity Card; permanent prosperity card; performance review card; Daily mirror and Individual prosperity card for sales promoters
b) Undertake weekly; daily meeting with store staff to discuss & review
i) Communicate Target for week & day
ii) Review store/ salesman performance: for day & week; Individual prosperity card
iii) Communicate new launches received; display; & provide product knowledge
iv) Plan action for clearance of stocks: Slow sellers; special promotions; discounted stocks
Merchandise Management
a) Ensure “Stock standard” across stores are maintained (Totally and across categories) within the approved level. Achieve overall stock turn in pairs & value as per company norms (presently: 3)
b) Follow up with district manager for
i) Proper supplies (across categories) for stocks
ii) Plan schedule for store re-supplies (Route Planning) Inform & update
Store Management
a) Control day to day operations by scheduling sales promoters and assigning productivity norms.
b) Ensure shop open & fully ready during business hours as decided by company. Also ensure extended hours (if required) as per market requirements in accordance with provisions of law
c) Ensure maintenance of proper ambience and hygiene for store in accordance with guidelines of company. (Store selling area, stock area, stock, furniture, and fixtures)
d) Propose, seek approval and execute minor renovations for existing stores. Undertake minor repairs directly as per chart of authority
Visual Merchandising & display
a) Ensure store display as per company visual display guidelines
b) Ensure “Theme of Month” is implemented in store
c) Proper display area (zone; corner; panel) for special Promotions & discounted stock in store
Manpower Management
a) Ensure amount of manpower in line with store productivity norms
b) Ensure store promoters are presentable; trained; punctual & disciplined
c) Provide necessary support and resources to sale staff to motivate and optimize performance
d) Ensure grievances of store personnel are expeditiously resolved
